Comments (3)Since you are keeping the flooring, everything new has to be in relation to the floor. Do you have a photo of the floor? Hold up samples of the cabinet paint and see if it enhances the flooring. You might need a more cream paint on cabinet and see these dark knobs. Some of the marble-type have many gray streaks. I'd look for something with brown-beige streaks to enhance the beige grout and beige floor tilehttps://www.houzz.com/photos/traditional-bathroom-traditional-bathroom-phvw-vp~93581 The back splash I'd do in the same "marble" as the counters b/c if you match the beige grout of the floors, with the subway tile, the back splash tile will look odd and if you use a white grout on the subway tile, it will look odd with the floors, too....See MoreNeed Help in designing a front Porch
Comments (2)Jalna99--Do you mean that there is no patio outside the front door? Or do you mean that you would like to pull the exterior door forward, under the existing porch roof enough to facilitate movement between rooms more easily? Both actions will require drawings and permits, I have little doubt, The second opton is much more substantial, because you would be creating new habitable space to what is now the exterior side of the structure. I suggest looking through the Houzz resources, and choosing a good bloke with the proper training in design that can steer you through the design and permit process to the extent that it will serve your immediate needs. I wish you the best in your endeavours....See MoreNeed help designing my bedroom
Comments (8)Thanks Chemayne, yes, that is correct re: position of the bed. There is a small bedroom behind where the bed is currently and ultimately i'd like to turn it into a walk in robe. That's funny, i never considered the grey bed to be masculine, although my mum didn't like it so maybe that should have been a clue! I keep coming back to it though, but not too sure if it is too low for the room. Unfortunatley there doesn't seem to be many grey beds around to compare it with. As for those pictures, thank you. However i don't think any of them are my taste. They are all a bit busy i think. I like the white trim which i am going to get done. I think from these i'm leaing towards Ighter coloured walls as well. I think the blue walls on number 1 is a bit much and no:4 with different curtains would be okish too....See MoreNeed help with my kitchen please
Comments (7)I believe the cabinets are a dark charcoal, sometimes also known as off black... The valences can be even more super simple to make yourself if you buy two table runners with a similar design and sew three ends together :) then sew rod pocket and install the rod on the back of the overhang :) If you can't find table runners, it's such simple sewing that definitely can be done by a beginner....See More- 7 years ago
