What would you do with this kitchen? Help!
Comments (16)You need some kitchen accessories kettle etc that tie in with the red and also some artwork. The red you have chosen looks on my monitor to be a cool red, perhaps a bit of a warmer shade would help. i would also extend the dining area curtains down to the floor, they will cosy up the space, as would a statement rug to give a bit more life to the room. If your living room is green then it may be nice to have some token green of the same shade, somewhere in the kitchen, a plant or some artwork, and add a bit of the kitchen red to your living room, so that there is some continuity of colour in your home, as opposed to having two separate colour boxes and never the twain shall meet.....See MoreWould you do it any different?
Comments (9)Hello Roundwood Design, Very nice!!..... there are just a few things I'd do differently.. Have a free standing range oven.. If we could... Wolf... Smeg double 9 burner duel fuel in chrome... Simply because I like gas for the hob and electric oven.. I really like very robust, industrial appliances.. Dualit toaster and Architect kettle, Kitchenaid in chrome.. No need to put these in corners! I'd choose a different sink... I do like ceramic butler style, concrete or a marble or other stone.. Slightly different tap.. Handles... I personally don't really like them...unless they are really really plain lengths of brass or those lovely brass cup handles.. Then I would paint the bottom cabinets a nice charcoal or a navy.. Or the walls a dark colour..If there was more height to contrast the light cupboards at head height.. I'd have a big larder cupboard or two if the space allowed... instead of corner units.. For food and for the table linen and crockery etc.. You could have boxed in the extractor and painted it the same colour as the cupboards- as there is a lack of chrome here.. that could have worked with the overall aesthetic of the room... The little 3 spot light.. Don't think that is sophisticated enough.. Have a look at Old School Electric.. Do love the shape of the doors and design and also the subway tiles choice and the use of matt paint! The floor is very nice too and the kitchen is well made.. : ))...See MoreHelp me decide on house extension plans. Would be so grateful :)
Comments (5)The "L' shape which extends further on the right will give you marginally more light into it - but this depends on the design of the roof and glazing - which is vitally important to the end result. I would consider putting pocket doors from the lounge into the kitchen (keeping the size as is) to allow the afternoon sun to be seen from the kitchen. This space might be a better option for the playroom - depending on the age of your children etc. I would put kitchen on the right hand side. Could you put a door from hall into the bike store so you don't have to go through the kitchen? Consolation prize for this orientation is that the back right hand side of your rear garden will hold the Summer evening sun the longest - so thats where to put the BBQ!...See MoreWhat would you do to my dining area?
Comments (0)Want to update my dining area in my kitchen but not planning on replacing marble table(1.2m x1.2m). The area is parallel with the seating area. I`d love to know what you would do....See MoreMags D
