You can really afford to go for drama in a bedroom and paint it a dark color if you like. If you find that a bit of a 'commitment' I'd go with a dark wall where your headboard should be. It would work well with the frames and mounts that are on your pictures above the bed. I can see you're currently sharing your room with a baby so a blanket box (a decent one you can sit on) would be a good investment to get those toys out of view. Don't go crazy with wood, I'd get one you could paint and change the up the upholstery on the lid so that you can update it every 5-7 years as you will with your room.

Could you hang the mirror on the back of your door? You may need to get stronger hinges to cope with the weight. As for paint for the drawers, either the same colour as the wall or the colour of your existing furniture and decorate as the previous commenter suggested. God luck with it. By the way . . I'd go for a warm light grey picking out the colour in the stone fire surround - have a look at Little Green Paint company's Portland Stone it comes in three depths of colour and looks beautifully restful. Then dress it with natural plants!

what blue shade would work in North facing kitchen, with a strong warm toned hardwood maple floor? I'd like to pick warm blue that's isn't too on trend. Any advice on a budget counter top replacement please? I'm thinking with a dark blue, like F&B hague Blue, or lighter like stone blue or lighter again.... without being too grey looking. Any advice greatly appreciated. we're going to get it professionally sprayed and alot paint the tiles, probably a warm white.
