Brilliant redesign

You have really made the most of this house. The conversion of the loft has puzzled me though as normally this type of 1980s home does not easily convert as it lacks roof height. I understand that the dormer helps but how did you achieve an adequate height overall?

It just had enough height - full width dormer on the rear - which gives some 'full height' space in the bedroom and a full sized (and height) ensuite bathroom. Placing a low level bed under the sloping part of the ceiling also helps. Staircase position is also critical - ensuring that it arrives in the middle of the floor plan.
