    Hi Christina, it is completely untreated and chemical free. We recommend sealing with a natural oil like linseed if you want to preserve the natural redwood color. Otherwise you can let the redwood age naturally and it will turn a light silver grey over time. Hopefully this helps, thanks for your question!
