How to make an infinity drop safe?

What is the height of the drop over the infinity edge? Did you have any concerns about a small child going over the edge? Did you incorporate anything to prevent someone from falling? We are building something similar in Spain with a very deep fall over the edge and are looking for ideas to make it safe without compromising the views.
