Kitchen floor before or after?..
Comments (4)Flooring should always go first to eliminate issues with appliance heights, and for the potential for changing your mind later about the layout. Some people place plywood of the equivalent height as the finished floor under the cabinets in order to not have the appliance height issue, but that actually makes the flooring person's job harder. What you save in flooring square footage that would otherwise be under the cabinets is probably paid out in labor for the increase in difficulty....See MoreBefore and After kitchen renovation on a very tight budget.
Comments (15)It is fair comment on not so pretty tiles and unfortunately you can't do much with the floor here because it covers too large area. On a picture you can see only lounge area, which is actually part of the kitchen. Tiles cover floor in the kitchen, lounge area and dining room. Extra large rug wouldn't make it better. This project has two tough points: tight budget and timing....See MoreOur new kitchen, before photos
