Do we have space for a 5ft x 4ft kitchen island?
Comments (8)I am sorry to say you don't have room. You are only giving yourself 36" in front of the ovens and only 31" for passage on the opposite side and 42" is not enough between the island and the sink. You might find a smaller 30" wide x 48" moveable stainless steel prep table and placed in the opposite direction, it might work for additional counter surface but not give you the seating you would like....See MoreHelp me finish my bedroom
Comments (36)I would also definitely go white if the windows are on the green wall. Will be much more natural to tie the accent wall with the stark wht contrasting walls. Always a very chic contemporary look. Also very relaxing as opposed to the treatments standing out when you already have your standout feature- the green accent wall. Great white bed you ordered! Then I love all the blue/green/ silver accent advice. I did a similar room in purples/greys/ whites and we used great posted prints of florals with a little oriental flair in nice big mats w frames. You could do florals or nice big botanicals in greens would be very fresh and modern!! White or silver frames or maybe even the shock of black would be cool....See Moreneed help modernising my kitchen
Comments (8)I have same tile, size but a lighter grout. I'm doing glass tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting to make it really pop. New hardware on cabinets, painting cabinets. New sink, can't afford new appliances. But your kitchen is larger, light and nice counter tops. Don't have a clue what to do, white Formica and it's cracking, ugh. I'm thinking of using indoor/ outdoor area rugs and runners. Please share if you find solution. good luck, doecreekgirl...See MoreMixing antique brass and polished chrome in the dining room & kitchen
Comments (16)What I'm actually wondering though is about mixing the metals - so having the chandelier and lamps with the touch of silver - or would I be better to source antique brass lamps like I have in some other rooms in the house - I kind of wanted to feature quite a bit of glass, and generally the glass comes with chrome, but I'm not sure if it's too modern for the sideboard etc, and mores worried about the clash of metals, but something tells me it might be ok in this instance! I have chrome taps and rainfall shower head in new bathroom and kept with antique brass for the light fittings and door/press knobs. Also yes the room is small but that's not an issue - it is what it is and I'm fine with it!...See Morewm_harrison
