Thank you for your message.

All the walls are the same color - Benjamin Moore HC-173 Edgecomb Gray. It is not a truly a gary, it is a warm gray meaning it is taupe or some call greige. I feel it is very versetile where people want the current gray trend but with some warmth and to coordinate with existing, pre gray trend, furnishings.

This job was a gut job and Edgecomb Gray with the pale blue ceilings were perfect selections for this Montauk ocean vacation getaway.

Thank you soo much for your compliments. It makes me happy as we did everything ourselves (took a while since only had sometimes time during the weekends). id love to see your kitchen as soon as you have the bodbyn installed. What colour countertops/backsplash, floors do you have? can buy a small “tester” can/container and try it. Can always be painted over. we really dont have much exposed wall directly next to the cabinets... except for the 15”deep (island against the wall). we have large opening above that “breakfast” counter to the family room (so as we sit we can watch tv that’s over the fireplace.). That room we also decided to paint the same as the kitchen. would have been too tight to have an island in the middle of the kitchen.

Hi All I am lucky enough to live in a house that 99% of people would say is perfectly fine, But i dont like the layout or style.my problem is I cant move and as the house would cost approx 400k euros to rebuild I am not sure if I would be happy when finished . The front cannot be changed to a minimalist box of my desire ,but the rest can. This cost would leave me with no money. I am 55yo and dont want to spend my last 30 years not happy with the house and broke as well. I am looking for advice from somebody who could convey their experience as to how their remodel enhanced the quality of life over the expense. Long shot i know . regards Gary

Hallway remodelling with Crittall like frame ..?

we are looking to replace an existing indoor partition glass and door with a frame similar to crittall .The glass and the door separate the living room and hallway. The new frame itself will be black or blue black but the other doors in the hallway are off white with greige walls . How do we paint existing doors and wall in the hallway once we have the frame in place ? All pictures I've seen with Crittall have the rest of the doors of similar colors . Any suggestions please..? I've attached pictures of the existing frame and door in the hallway which is being replaced and a picture of the new frame which is very similar to the frame we plan having.

James Hardie or Nu cedar-paint? facade?

Gosh..Who knew this could be so difficult. We would love your thoughts on our remodel exterior facade on color (any color other than white, beige or gray..if possible). Also we love the look of Nu Cedar as it looks like real cedar, but if paint it, wouldn't it look monochromic anyway? Would you advice to paint after installation if we go with James Hardie.
