Hi---ok, so you have some different styles going on, but I think it could come together-just needs some balance with color, pattern, and a touch of whimsy... :) The wallpaper (w/owl) is a good color to incorporate into the space-works well with the sectional, dining table, and floor. The art pulls the color palette together, is contemporary with organic/circular shapes---relates to both the sectional and table designs. Pillows-masculine and feminine balanced-color palette repeated. Check BM's Seattle Mist and Brushed Aluminum for wall color. Hope this is helpful. Very nice table. Love it I can't give any help on colors as I can't determine what the colors are on my cheap PC. I did hear that Green is supposed to be the new color of the year though. Not sure I'm liking that so much. It's one of my favorite colors, however it is ssssooooooooooooooo hard to use. Too many shades

Hello niamh6426, A nicely proportioned set of rooms.. Lovely features, nicely done! Bring the sofa in the opening further into the room so it doesn't block the flow... Ideally move it away from the french doors? So a few things to suggest here.. Why not paint above the picture rail the white to tie in with the ceiling.. the lavender and sage work nicely and so it really is which you might want to pick out.. I'm thinking of the chimney breast to bring it out into the room with even more focus..... A deeper purple/grey, charcoal or deeper olive green ... With any of these colours you could have some light charcoal accessories... Silk cushions etc.. The colours would also work with the existing wall paint. Rather like the charcoal colour and it would work with a slightly darker greyish purple too, so throws and other cushions could be also very complimentary.. :))

Love your room, we have Farrow & Ball Mizzle, its a light greyish green with Little Green Clay Mid which is really a soft white with a tiny hint of grey on skirtings and doors. That would leave you free to go for a stronger colour on the back alcove walls without 'darking' the room much. The upper sample green on your wall should match well with these colours. Colour would be easily brought (and changed) in with rug, cushions etc, HTHs
