Thank you for the question. The guttering is white aluminum 6" half round with 4" round downspouts.

It's interesting, but we inherited a sofa and companion chair with the same sweep of the arms, but a lot of intentionally fanned pleats - all done in a deep peach fabric- almost salmon. I was moving into a larger home and needed the pieces, probably 1930s vintage with squatted round wooden feet/legs, each on a caster. I didn't like the color however, so chose to have it reupholstered. That, rather than be forced to work with it. I still love it today. So there's another option, though a little pricey. I agree with Decoenthusiast about the vintage of your sofa. It's not very old, and style is transitional. So it can, just like my delightfully interesting Christmas dinner guest (thanks Lenny), 'go either way' ;)..

Hi. totally off point but.... Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up this area I think a select piece of art would really make the space stand out, add interest, colour, texture and add a great talking/thinking point to the room....
