Oops..

Can you tell me what material the grey garage doors and grey external beams are made from please. They look like painted wood, but wondered if perhaps they were a man made, more durable product. Thanks

Hi S, mirrors are effective when they are reflecting something visually interesting, like the view from an opposite window to the outdoors, or when used to create the illusion of additional space. The mirror in this picture does neither of those things. With the TV removed from the corner, there is more room for the window treatments to fill the corner properly (right now they look a bit squished), and it would be fine to leave it bare, or put a low accessory item in the corner, like a sculpture or a potted tree (not too tall!). As for the rug and table, there are 3 ways you can go: since the striped wallpaper and the floors are so neutral already, you can afford to add some color into the room with the rug. With a colorful or patterned rug, a clear glass table top would be good, because it allows you to see the rug. In that instance, the rug becomes the focal point of your furniture group. If you want to keep the rug very neutral too, then a solid table top is good (in an interesting material- maybe wood or stone). In that case, the table becomes the focal point of your furniture group. Lastly, if you want a neutral rug and a transparent table top, I would be sure to add some color or pattern to your seating- either the sofas themselves or throw pillows on the sofas, to inject some energy and keep the whole room from feeling too bland.

Kitchen's suffer from extreme humidity variation, so you should fully adhere the solid or engineered flooring to avoid a bowing/warping floor in a few months time However, here's another viable option; luxury vinyl tiles (LVT). Generally, LVTs are 2.5mm thick, made from 100% pvc (therefore waterproof), come with a thick polyurethane wear layer that normally is backed up with a manufacturers warranty, with a wood or stone effect finish. LVTs are great with underfloor heating and unlike ceramics, they don't break when heavy objects are dropped on them and unlike wooden floors, once laid, LVTs need no further maintenance other than regular vacuuming and washing. LVTs are almost indestructible! There are many options available but us Flooring Gurus recommend going for a recognised brand. The whole idea about an LVT is for it to look authentic. They need to genuinely look like the wood or stone flooring they are mimicking. Cheap alternatives, when installed, look ... well ... awful! Try looking at Polyflor's Colonia and Camaro. I cant remember back if 2 year olds can climb, but if they can you might need a smooth finish so they have nothing to grip and climb,I would also suggest a sign making company they do a thing product called acrylic or corrugated ,this cut to size would also do they would need to drill holes in the acrylic for you possibly
