Kitchen Layout
Comments (18)The sink in the island is the way to go here. As Lampert Dias mentioned above, your island can be larger than drawn. I prefer the sink and the breakfast bar at the same height as pictured above, but some people like to step the bar side up to protect it from the sink. It is an option. You can put the pantry and refrigerator on either side of the wall or even split them up and flank the wall as long as the refrigerator door can open. I would take the opportunity for more storage or display and put a cabinet on the wall behind the breakfast bar. Consider using a shallower cabinet there like 17" deep. It could be like a "china" cabinet display piece or more pantry storage if needed....See MoreHelp with Kitchen/Dining area layout - new build
Comments (1)I think I would have one set off steps down and move the dividing presses to the side where your sink is, making it a peninsula. That would make for a nice L shaped banquette seating area where your blank wall is, and the gallery backdrop would be great there. You could also have a nice long table as opposed to the small square one. I also hope you don't mind me saying that I think you need to reconsider the placement of your hob. It's right beside a door which will be awkward and you have your back to the room when entertaining. You will have such a nice kitchen that you should make the most of it for entertaining. Even you consider putting it on the island facing the dining area?...See MoreHelp needed with kitchen layout
Comments (0)Hi All, I am hoping for some advice on the best thing to do. We have knocked the wall between our kitchen and dining room to create one large room. The two rooms are offset (per the drawing below). We are thinking of removing the back window in the kitchen & putting in double doors to make the kitchen flow into the garden better but I’m unsure if we then have enough space for kitchen cupboards! I would love other people’s thoughts on what to do. Many thanks....See MoreSingle wall kitchen layout
Comments (0)We have just purchased a new build, and it comes with kitchen installed, we get choice of finish and can alter and pay any difference. The kitchen can only run on one wall for 4.5m max. I'd love to include an eye level oven, but fear it's then takes up too much counter space. We'll have a tall fridge/freezer, dishwasher, 1.5 bowl sink and an L-shaped bar on the right hand side. Any ideas of pictures would be helpful! :)...See Moreoneofthesedayz
