What is the cheapest alternative to grass ,please?

Low maintenance as well

    Artificial grass is a lot better than it used to be and very low maintenance - otherwise some sort of gravel surface can look nice - it depends where it's for?

    Then I would definitely consider some form of gravel, even resin bound gravel - you can get a variety of different colours which can brighten up the front of a house, still provide soak away drainage and is very low maintenance
