New kitchen, but just not working.

Just wanted to suggest that you try pulling the nesting tables forward to be more in line with front of the chairs & placing your floor lamp to the back of them. This will give a bit more light at night for reading in that area. Also switching the plant by the fireplace & the one on the corner by the sofa....See Moreneed help with living room painting, cream fireplace, red suite
Comments (3)I think you should paint the walls grey. Grey and red are fabulous together. If you need to because the room is small, put a darker grey on the wall where the fireplace is and a softer one everywhere else. Use the cream color of the fireplace in your throw pillows, rug, art etc as a accent color. Seems the room is small so the TV above the fireplace might be a good choice. The right chandelier and sconces will improve lighting. Add some table lamps. Chrome will make the lighting pop. Comments (1)For starters your T.V. is way too high lower it to sit virtually on the mantel and take all the stuff off the mantle. If you are getting storage built get 2 made so one on each side of the fireplace for balance. I don't see what you have for lighting now and find the finish on the walls very busy. When I look at your idea books I am not really getting that same feel in the space as it is so maybe some more pictures would help with that....See MoreRevamp of front door & porch (photo in comments)
Comments (4)Looking for ideas for updating front door and vestibule/porch area. Do I keep and update exterior sliding door or replace? I'm edging towards a light green for our internal door as goes with interior scheme. Hall quite dark so thinking of moving light fixture inside interior door and keeping as much glass in doors as possible. Any one with similar set-up or a creative brain that can share ideas? I'm stumped! (Didnt know how to add photos so included below in comments). Based in Cork city....See More- 11 years ago
