Need Help with big NICHE.

When you walk through our front door
we have a niche that screams, "Hey! Here I am!"
(It's 41" high, 24" wide and 15" deep) I
don't know what to do with it or put in it. Seems like there could be something
beautiful with the light rather than a pot but I just don't know what that would be. The back wall is rounded so hanging a picture would be funky.
Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you! *p.s. If any ideas comes to your mind regarding the rest of the foyer please feel free to say it.

Comments (11)I love the tall units but you need to go straight to the ceiling to prevent dust and dirt settling on the top. I would put a row of small up and over cupboards along the very top as an option. Very handy for unsightly bulky items. I don't like the end open shelves by sink very dated but what you could do is a long double shelf all the way along the island with a wine racking either side for balance vertically. I think shelving each side of the sink would be better. You have a lot of cupboards but no deep drawers which are highly valued these days. Good selling point. I Like your colour suggestions... The little Greene paint company have a lovely grey so does farrow and ball. Where are you sourcing your Quartz and what flooring? Do your ovens have easy open shelf doors ..handy as they retract so don't get in the way as you take food out..Neff offer best ones. If you want a better balance of tall you could always do fridge freezer one side and pull out pantry on the other with racking. Then on sink side don't go all the way along the wall just have it as centred space so you can pull out larder doors. On your island you will need your bin as this'll be prep area? What is the room opposite tall cupboards? Need the island to look good from that side as that is what you will see. Hope of help. Comments (20)I think the sofa bed should double up as regular seating. The place is too small to have a guest bed around at all times. Use every item you have and if possible double functions (like stools as coffee tables and sofas as guest bed). Personal note: I used to have a 1p mattress with a cover on it next to my bed looking like a 'sideboard' (because my bed was sideways against the wall it wasn't a headboard). But 25m2 really was too small for any sofa to fit in. I just had one upholstered seat and guests would sit either on my bed or on a dining/folding chair. Another floorplan, with a sofa. I really like this one, because of the open living space. Some bottom-up blinds or a nice window foil halfway up should give some bedroom privacy, yet let in enough daylight (or a low cabinet/bookshelf, like in the second rendering). Add a bench in the 'bedroom' to enjoy a coffee in the morning sun. Bed sideways is not optimal, but it's give and take in a small home. 8 years agoIf the chairs are situated on either end, then they are more for decoration as you couldn't reasonable hold a conversation! You could try pulling them out of the corner, on an angled closer to table. The chairs don't have to match but they could. I suggested two lamps but neglected to say that I would go for a French Provincial candlestick lamps that are narrow of course but have nice height.
