Yellow oak cabinetry from 1994 is gone; replaced by.....

Many folks have homes filled with oak cabinetry that is still functional but they no longer want to look at. In this home, the yellow oak cabinetry was sanded, stained with a rich darker color and sealed with a conversion varnish. Viola - a very updated look that is pleasing and warm!

Great job, befitting of that majestic herringbone brick!

SO much nicer in the darker wood! And makes the brass fireplace seem less, ...well, brass!

Never seen red oak take a stain like that? The grain is not there on the doors but is still there on the cases?

    Looks great.

Very Beautiful. Not a flat look, but variation and movement in the stained bookcase. Lovely, very cohesive, warm, inviting.

Nice, warm and inviting. I love that you didn't cover up the beautiful brick fireplace. The darker stain brings out the brick in a good way.
