My wife and I hired Robert Bourke Architects to design an extension for our small two bed house. The brief was to come up with a design that included four bedrooms, lots of living space, plenty of storage and that was energy efficient. RBA exceeded our expectations with the final design and successfully brought it through a difficult planning process all the way to completion. I would highly recommend Robert and his team.

RBA delivered a considered and thoughtfully designed renovation of our home, providing many smart design solutions. RBA’s approach to the renovation was thorough and design focused and we felt in safe hands throughout the build.

My husband & I did our first big renovation on our 1850’s period villa that we upgraded to from out 3 bed semi that had all the mod cons. We lived in it first for 2yrs with our two young boys to see what we needed. Robert was recommended to us by a friend. He understood exactly what we wanted to achieve . He designed exactly what we were looking for and glad he pushed us a little bit more with his creative design. 4yrs on we still love it . He was a pleasure to work with & had great relationship with the builders also. A great experience all in all.

I've had the exceptional pleasure to work with Robert and Anna on a very special and sentimental project; a stunning new house on a Dundrum site that has been in our family for almost 80 years. Anna and Robert came up with a beautiful modern home design that is bright and comfortable, and surprisingly spacious, constricted by a significantly constrained budget. The team were a delight to work with at all stages of development and I look forward to one day working with them on another project

In 2012 the living space in our home was dark and cluttered. The conservatory, a misnomer, was unusable , poorly designed, subject to extremes of heat and cold and the odd leakage. I had a budget and had to stick to it. I retained Robert Bourke as architect. From the off he had refreshing ideas . He prepared plans and tendered for builders , with time we got a reliable builder at the right price . This is not a fairy tale ! Roberts designs worked with the house and the budget. The removal of a useless door; the realignment of the living area; turning the conservatory into a room where we could dine at Christmas; opening up the kitchen all great but the real JEWEL was in bringing light into the living area . This was achieved by putting in two interior windows . At first I was sceptical but the effect was amazing. We have light and space all year round . Nearly three years on , showing signs of living, it has retained its magic !
