Window and door colour/style help please

Hi, I would really welcome advice on what replacement style/colour windows, front door, and garage door would best suit our 1962 house, please, to make the house look better!!
We are in a cul de sac of 6 houses. All currently have white PVC windows.
I'm hoping to get the brick tinted at some point to better blend in the bricks added on the garage side extension.

I feel you could change out the front door to a more modern wood with glass, without the side light. However if the light is is valuable to the interior, maybe a door centred between sidelights for a more balanced visual.

You could start a trend in your cul de sac and go for dark grey aluminium windows. Zero maintenance and possibly paired with some modern touches could really update it. I would replace the front door too with a composite door with a glazing panel. Match the colour of your garage door to your front door. Houzz has loads of inspiration for mid century houses as does The Modern House.

I would go for a stone colour so not too dissimilar to what you've got. Little Greene does a good stone colour too but will work out a bit expensive. This is Oxford stone by farrow and ball. If you were doing the windows and front door then maybe an old white with door and windows in french grey

I have just had a dark north facing narrow entrance hall painted in Great White (F&B) and the inside of a stained glass hall door painted Lace Glove (Colourtrend) . I do not like the effect of the 'ice white' look from the Great White around the door and have now asked the painter to paint just that area with a deeper pink colour (Romance by Fleetwood) to match one of the colours in the stained glass. I now think it looks too pink! Another sample pot which I haven't used but very similar colour is Cinder Rose (F&B). Any suggestions as to what would warm up the area surrounding the hall door? A colour that disappears against the brick or a plain window could leave you with a house that looks featureless. For this reason I would avoid a colour that has the same saturation of colour- I worry that a contemporary grey could disappear-and I don’t think white disappears against your brick. You could choose black but since it still recedes you might want to increase how decorative you make the windows with the addition of glazing bars.

And I have no problem with UPVC in this setting. Aluminium is a great choice when you want a slim minimalistic choice but a slightly broader frame could be considered a bonus here. For me the only thing to consider with UPVC is window proportions. The most cost effective UPVC only has one casement (one hinged opening bit) and that area has in effect a double frame. So when you look out of a window the opening part of the frame is bigger and the glass is smaller than the non opening pane of glass next to it. And personally I think this looks awful from outside. But with good planning you can make it look uniform from outside.

Thanks so much for taking your time to comment, its really helpful. I hadn't thought about the need for contrast before but it does makes sense. So we will stick with the white I think, but to look like the examples shown.

Should we also echo this contrast with the front door/garage colours please? What colours or tones should I be looking at?

Have you tried brick acid to clean your existing bricks? Test a patch. Go easy it will attack the mortar if not rinsed off.

I think that because the frame of the front door and garage door are white you can see that a colour for those doors is fine. Personally I like it when a street matches so see if you like any colours used by neighbours.

Ignore the colour but garage and door style?

Again, ignore the colour but I like your existing windows (and frame size) minus the top openers so keeping the pane configuration

I think adding some planting at the front of the house would look great

A powerwash (or other cleaning option) could do wonders on the brick, possibly the color match turns out better than you think.
