I had the opportunity to be the general contractor on a custom home in which David Robertson had a lot of input on colors and finishes in the home as well as most of the input for furniture and artwork. Not only was the finish product remarkable to the eye, but David was a joy to work with throughout the process right down to furnishing the home. I recommend him and his team 100%.

I hired David Robertson Design to stage a mid-century, Queen Anne condo for sale. His services exceeded expectations and I'm fairly certain his work played a significant part in the unit selling for 112% over list with multiple offers. His design team, led by Wilson, was fast, on-time and had the experience and insight of a true high-end interior design firm. The furniture and accessories were all very high quality and the little touches (like copies of Dwell magazine on the coffee table) took the condo from average to extraordinary. The art that they hung was comprised of big, bold pieces with fantastic color. They were not Ikea canvas prints, they were original pieces of art that made the photographs pop and drew people in when they toured the unit. There are over 150 agents in our office and lots of listings that go live every week. When we have our weekly agent's meeting, all the new listings for the week are shown on an overhead screen. When the listing with David's staging came up the very first question from the agents was, "wow, who staged that?" I'm not sure I've ever heard that question at the agent's meeting before. David and his team staged my cottage in Seattle for sale and totally rocked it. I always knew it had a clean, modern interior but was blown away when I walked in to see the staging. David chose a mixture of warm tones in the living room contrasted with bright white, then tied together by the art and accessories. It was so pretty. And, in the bedroom, the blankets brought in the green of the leaves outside the window. Brilliant! Honestly, I cried because it was so beautiful to me. And, my place got a ton of attention, featured in the Seattle PI and in another national online publication. It sold for $30k over asking. Staging was more than worth the investment.

I spent quite a while looking through the different Home Stagers on houzz and reached out to 3 in total. I ended up choosing David from David Robertson Design for a few reasons - firstly, his work - it's amazing, really cutting edge and modern - I knew it would attract the sort of buyer I was looking for in my location. A number of agents have made comments about how great the place looks after staging. In addition, David was upfront - I had a Craftsman in Seattle, it was hardly the type of home with the lighting etc that you would want to put modern furniture in, so David even said to be honest it probably wouldn't work in it's current setup so he in fact was honest with me and wasn't just trying to win business. I made some changes to my lighting and as you'll see from the pictures it's nothing short of amazing. His team over a two day period, brought all the pieces to the house and set things up, they asked not to be interrupted and for me to wait for the final result - I agree, not interrupting them and letting their creative skills work. The final result was amazing I wouldn't have changed as thing and i'm generally super pedantic about things. Price - given the huge size of the property 3000+ sq ft, the price was excellent at $5,800. In addition, the monthly fee was just $900 including tax. This compared to others who were quoting nearly $2,000 per month. This was a key contributing factor as I honestly wasn't sure how long it would take for me to sell my property. Finally, one mattress was running a bit flat, and David organized for one of his colleagues to come around even late in the evening on a weekend to get it resolved. Now that's service. Friendly, flexible (he was also able to change the date of the setup to a date which worked for me), made working with David amazing. I would absolutely use David again, I was told he also has a large warehouse of furniture so I guess unlike a smaller staging business the quantity of product and supply is there and there is no short changing - they even put towels, etc in the bathrooms. Even shampoos. Great work. Highly recommended, definitely one if not the best stager in Seattle.

David Robertson was brought in to stage a rare Art Deco home and he did it with aplomb. The house looked wonderful, he was easy to work with and it sold well.
