Built a kitchen from complete tear-down. Excellent experience all the way around. Appreciated them always leaving job site clean, their attention to detail, but most of all, their trustworthiness. Would not hesitate to recommend Magistrale Construction for any project. We were, and are extremely pleased with their craftsmanship. Special thanks, and mention to Robert and Johnny. Tony and Kathy have put together an outstanding team. The final results turned out a beautiful and functional kitchen!

I've hired a few contractors over the years and this by far was the best experience I've ever had. The entire project took only 3 months. The project included: 1) A complete bathroom remodel. It was completely taken down to the studs in all the walls, floors, ceilings and started over. 2) a complete kitchen remodel including pushing out the exterior walls of the house. Custom kitchen cabinets were built right in the backyard to match the existing 100 year old cabinets that are in our 1913 craftsman airplane bungalow. 3) A complete new 1/2 bathroom. 4) Remove a door that was inserted in the middle of a craftsman window frame. The entire large 3 panel wood window was restored to original. They also installed french doors in the rear bedroom, and constructed 2 decks of the rear made of trex (the wood alternative composite). They are very easy to work with and very familiar with the vocabulary of historic homes. The project started in November 2008 and everything was complete by the beginning of February 2009. I'm extremely happy. I plan to use them again.

Magistrale Construction has done two projects for us -- building a new, 3,500 sf home in Pasadena. On time, on budget and excellent workmanship. The second project was the renovation of a 4,200 sf historic 1917 firehouse and conversion into our home. Again, on time and on budget. The company provided carpentry work consistent with the historic period of the time. We would recommend Magistrale Construction without reservation.

Tony and Kathy Magistrale of Magistrale Construction are consummate professionals and are very easy to work with. Magistrale Construction handled Phases II & III of our three-phase remodel 2 years ago. The process was enjoyable and the result was fabulous -- just as I envisioned. Having worked with another contractor for Phase I, I feel qualified to compare how working with Tony & Kathy Magistrale is far superior to working with a hack contractor. Magistrale Construction does quality work and does not cut corners. Phase II of our remodel consisted of gutting the kitchen and opening it up to the family room. Phase III consisted of extending the back patio, installing an outdoor kitchen and pergola, as well as building a teahouse in the backyard. Tony is accustomed to working on custom projects and is used to special requests. Rather than taking the easy way out and telling me that something can’t be done, Tony figures out a way to make things work. When I wanted sliding barn door mechanism to be able to close off the family room from the foyer, Kathy searched high & low to find one that could accommodate by-pass doors. To build our Japanese teahouse, Tony accompanied my designer, Alice Sin of Sierra Custom Kitchen, and me to the Huntington Library to check out the Japanese teahouse there. He even already had a book on Japanese carpentry! Tony was honest in telling us that our project would take 5 months (unlike our previous contractor who told us Phase I would be done in 3 months, but ended up taking 6). Tony’s crew kept regular hours and were here everyday. Magistrale Construction came highly recommended to us by my husband’s friends and colleagues. We too have passed along Tony’s name to others and highly recommend him.

Tony and Kathy Magistrale are a great team. My husband and I hired Magistrale Constuction and as soon as the work began, we knew we had hired the right Contractors for the job. At the start of the job Tony Magistrale spent quality time with my husband. Explaining all aspects of the job, the time line, the payment schedule and what we could expect of Magistrale Construction. When my husband had any concerns Tony and Kathy promptly addressed the concerns or questions. For myself Kathy professional relationship with all the variety of subcontractors made the final decisions on the project much more manageable. She really spent extra time and worked with me on paint colors, hardware decisions etc. Kathy's helped to inspire me above and beyond the scope of her job tittle. Although our job was small they did a great job and we have recommended Magistrale Construction to our friends.

I have nothing but great things to say about Magistrale Construction! Tony and his crew are some of the best guys in the industry! The quality of their work is top-notch, and they have the right "can do" attitude! As a designer, that is music to my ears.

I hired Magistrale Construction to remodel about 3/4 of my home. The quality of the work they did seamlessly integrated the old with the new. Their crew was easy to have around, trustworthy and reliable. They began the project on time and finished on time. All the minor details at the end of any project were finished to my satisfaction and even later, if I found something that needed doing, Tony sent someone to take care of it. This was the first time that a contractor actually finished Everything. I would highly recommend them and have recommended them to my friends and neighbors.
