About Us

Deirdre Prince completed Architectural Technology in DIT and graduated in 1992. After a number of years in industry, Deirdre studied a Master Degree in Landscape Architecture in UCD. Services offered by the company include landscape consultancy, design, landscape planning application, landscape conservation and project management. Today Deirdre practices as a landscape architect and garden design consultant for domestic and commercial clients both in Ireland and overseas. She has also lectured and tutored in the Higher National Diploma of Landscape Design and Garden Design in Senior College Dun Laoghaire VEC. She is a regular contributor to the gardening section of Ireland’s Homes, Interiors and Living magazine She is a full member of the Garden & Landscape Design Association and a graduate member of the Irish Landscape Institute.

Deirdre is a great client-centred designer. She really listened to what we were looking for and delivered a super design. She was very flexible and clear throughout. We're delighted with the process and the end product. We now have a new "room"; our front garden!

Our front garden has been transformed by Deirdre Prince into an outdoor space where we can dine in the sun while enjoying the beauty of nature all around us. Deirdre completely transformed our garden while maintaining two beautiful trees that already existed, and indeed made them a feature, which we love. Using her vision she guided us through the project and gave us a design concept which we hadn't considered, but which works beautifully. We love our new garden and so do our neighbours, who frequently stop to admire it! Thank you to Deirdre Prince Landscapes.

Deirdre both designed and project-managed our garden landscaping project. From the outset, it was clear that Deirdre puts her customers at the centre of what she does. She spent a significant amount of time understanding how we would use the garden, and our thoughts and preferences in this regard. We loved the initial design, and Deirdre had no issue with tweaks as we moved through the various stages. Deirdre especially added significant value at the planting stage, as this was an area we had little experience in. And when it came to project managing the actual landscaping, Deirdre kept us fully briefed and ensured that there were no surprises at any stage. We have no hesitation in recommending Deirdre as a top-class professional.

I read some of Deirdre's articles and contacted her when it was time to design our own garden, because the topics in her articles were ones we were interested in: children and gardening, wildlife, etc. She didn't disappoint - she was in tune with what we wanted from the start. From the consultation to the design, to the landscaping work done by her partners; everything was perfect and finished ahead of time. We had a big drainage problem which has been elegantly solved. Now looking forward to the summer! Thank you Deirdre, a pleasure to deal with you.

I highly recommend Deirdre for her garden design skills. We hired her to redesign our back garden after a house renovation. Everybody who comes to the house comments that the garden is spectacular, infact it gets more comments than the actual extension!
