Lorraine was so helpful in April - she styled an apartment that is used as a base for a day service for people with disabilities. Using nice warm tones, Lorraine sourced soft furnishings, rugs, table lamps etc locally and all in one morning. She put them together to give a contemporary but cosy effect. Lorraine really listened to our requirements for the space and considered the people who will use the space each day. I found Lorraine's approach so easy and so informed. In addition she gave her time for free, which was really appreciated by the staff and people using the space. A very kind act indeed.

We hired Loraine to revamp our tired apartment above our shop. It was in an awful state and the builder and I had some ideas about what to do but we decided on an interior designer to get things right. I was pleasantly surprised to see how definite Loraine was and her attention to detail and choice of colours was an inspiration. Her list of contacts and an ability to source unique furniture and fittings made to project easy. We would recommend Inspiring Spaces to anyone who wants to modernise a property and we will work with Loraine again.

Loraine came to visit me in my new house that I had lived in for approximately 1 year. Loraine spent a lot of time talking to me and getting a sense of me and what I liked in colours and textures. She immediately made me feel at ease and encouraged me to explore my own ideas. She instilled in me a confidence to trust in my ideas of what I would like for my home. Loraine is an excellent listener and her feedback was always very supportive. She was extremely efficient and ensured that we made the most of the time we had. We worked very well together in choosing colours, furnishings and warm textures that created a sense of great comfort and meaning to me. I now have a house that I can truly call my home. Loraine was so lovely to met and straight away put me at ease. I explained I didn’t have a very big budget and outlined what the spend was. Loraine came up with amazing ideas and kept well within the budget and never once pushed me on anything I wasn’t 100% on. Loraine has a brilliant eye for color and ideas. We can highly recommend Lorraine as a great interior designer. For us We needed advice on room layout for our furniture,the choosing of colors to paint our walls and some furniture. We also needed advice on hanging pictures, framing of pictures ,and the designing of an ottman for our main living area. This was a first time experience for us to have an interior deginer come into our home. Lorraine has an unique approach to her job, she is very warm , and listens to what you want and like .Lorraine was professional at all times and has a keen eye for detail. We recently moved house and engaged with Lorraine to bring our house to a bright & presentable standard to put it on the market. Lorraine delivered what she set out to do and more. She was a real pleasure to work with, ensuring that the job was carried out on schedule, on budget & without any hassles! Lorraine's choice of colour palette and combinations were very inspiring and give a serene, calming flow throughout the house. She has managed to flood our house with lots of light in spite of it being built in a wooded area. We were very happy with the end result & hope the new buyer of this property will love it also.

I worked with Loraine last year and have engaged her services again this year. I found Loraine so easy to work with and very thoughtful in relation to what the client wants being mindful of budget. She really takes the time to get to know you and what you want your home to be and did a number of home visits to obverse how your house functions. She really works with what you want and not her preferences. I would absolutely recommend Loraine she is great to work with so much so I have her working on another room this year with me.

Loraine’s style is obvious. It was one of the reasons I called ‘Inspiring Spaces’ for advice on my kitchen/dining room re-vamp. But I got so much more than I asked for! Loraine places as much emphasis on how a room ‘feels’ as how it ‘looks’. I didn’t really understand that at the start. Now, a year later, I still stand in my ‘new’ room and I not only love how it looks but I love how I feel when I walk in to it. The colours, that I would not have been brave enough to choose, are perfect and soothing. The pictures and plants that Loraine found in other rooms, that I’d never considered using, have found a new space and a new life as have other items – lights, Japanese tea-sets, and wedding gifts – items which mean a lot, but had never found their perfect spot until Loraine found it for them. That she could do this after spending just a couple of hours in our house is amazing – and special. And it was so much fun! Loraine is confident, enthusiastic and passionate about what she does; she is gently persuasive but never pushy. She exudes excitement about the possibilites of creating a lovely space and you just can't wait to get started! Ultimately, she is most concerned about leaving behind a happy space. That’s certainly what she left me with and we had a lot of laughs along the way. I can’t recommend ‘Inspiring Spaces’ highly enough.

Starting from scratch on a house that had not been decorated in over ten years, Loraine helped me enormously in figuring out a scheme that matched my wants and needs to perfection. Loraine's commitment to the project and attention to detail are second to none.

Loraine came into our home and took time to get a real sense of how we wanted to live in this space and the way we wanted it to feel. Quite apart from saving us many hours and money in the search for all the right colours/furniture for the chages we wished to make, the end result she presented encompassed light, colour, textures and our way of living that delights us every single day.

Lorraine was warm and professional from our first meeting. She worked tirelessly to acheive the outcome we had invisaged and enriched our tired and dated space so effortlessly. Shes a true natural and has an eye for the most beautiful colours and fabrics. She ploughed through until the job was done and made sure everthing was 100%. My request was for consultation for colour scheme in two areas downstairs and what I got from Loraine at Inspiring Spaces was so much more… I did not have a large budget so needed to get it right. She talked us through layout, function and flow of the rooms downstairs before we even started on the colour, all in a short session and advised what would work well and why. This I truly believe was key to end result we now have. I only realised it once we actually started to carry out the changes. Loved her approach to working with what we had already. Little changes can have a massive impact and need not cost a fortune. She ‘walked the talk’ on the job and got stuck in moving furniture around to actually show us the benefit rather than just telling us. Downstairs, stairs and landing (and not just the two areas in question) are totally transformed. We literally have a ‘new home’ and we just love it. We did this for ourselves obviously, but it was so nice to hear such lovely compliments from family and friends when visiting recently. I would have in the past thought such a service was solely for larger, big budget jobs. I wish I had realised sooner this is not the case. I highly recommend Loraine from Inspiring Spaces and I definitely will be using her expertise again in the future.
