We could not recommend InSpace Design and Emily more. Emily helped us with a home consultation after we'd just purchased our first property a small mid-terraced 19th Century house and we had no idea where to begin. Emily walked through our home with us and listened to our thoughts and basic ideas and using her experience and vision she immediately helped us to develop our plans and align with her creativity and style. Emily was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the interior design process including recommending suitable colours, lighting and general layout which really helped us as we have an old home with quirky aspects. In addition she provided links on where to purchase recommended furniture and materials to help us on our journey and also made introductions to tradespeople for work. Emily made the whole process a lot less daunting and helped us on our way to transforming the house.

I was on the search for an interior designer that would add colour and something different to my house and when I saw Emily’s instagram page, I knew I’d found the right person. She’s got fabulous ideas of how-to bring colour into a house, how to layout rooms to get the most out of them and comes up with great ideas of how to link everything up so it works! Every room she designed, I’ve had numerous friends asking me about the pieces she’s selected, the paint colour, the furniture she recommended and also her drawings of bespoke joinery. She doesn’t go with whatever is in vogue, she pushed me to go slightly out of my comfort zone and this took awhile to get used to but I did come around and I’m glad I did because I now have a really funky design that works exceptionally well, makes the house cozy, not formal and most of all fun! She’s extremely patient, always tries her best to get you the exact design you have in your mind and is she is really pleasant and easy to work with. She also connected me to a selection of very high-quality suppliers of goods and services, each one of them provided high quality products and an impeccable service. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her as I really couldn’t have asked anymore of her, I was extremely satisfied with the finished design and service!

We had an excellent experience with InSpace Design and Emily and her team, who helped us out with the in-home consultation service, with a particular focus on our living room, kitchen and hallway. We have a small three-bedroom terraced house and Emily saw the potential right away! She spent time getting to know our ideas and preferences, and complemented them with her insights and suggestions, many of which we would never have been able to come up with ourselves but which fitted perfectly with what we wanted! Emily's advice, both during the consultation and afterwards, was practical, respectful of our limited budget, and really helped us feel brave in adding a bit of fun to our home. We're currently putting everything in place and are so excited to see the end result that Emily helped us envision. I would absolutely recommend working with Emily and her team!

We worked with InSpace to help us re-imagine what our new home (19th century terrace home) could look like, without tearing down any major walls, etc. Emily and Miriam did a wonderful job of taking our tastes and interests to bring a cohesive, bright, bold touch on our home! We are absolutely in love - it's completely unique to us! When people walk through the door - they smile and we've had multiple people say "you can't walk into your house without a smile appearing on your face" - and it's SO true. Everything from the design process to the iterations and changes was smooth and professional - Emily is an excellent communicator. Another thing I absolutely loved about working with InSpace was their knack for finding and working with the best artisans that are either local or based around Europe and offer unique pieces for your home. This was really one of my favourite parts - and some of the pieces in our home really stand out for that matter. I can't recommend InSpace enough for your project - big or small - especially if you are looking for something that represents you and pushes the boundaries - you won't regret it. Plus you get to work with Emily and Miriam - you won't regret it!

We worked with Emily on coming up for a plan for our house. As the owners of a smaller property we needed someone who was able to make every inch of the space work. Inspace came up with a plan that completely delivered on that, while also linking us up with amazing people who could make it a reality. Their designs really hit the brief and will make for a unique property. Exactly what we wanted.

Emily worked with me to help with design ideas for two rooms in my house which were still only on plans. She gave me great ideas, even just chatting with her was so helpful. She’s also absolutely sound and lovely to work with. I only wish I could have her design my whole house.

I cannot recommend Emily and her team enough. They made the entire process really fun and pleasant. She took on my brief and was patient and able to guide me in areas where I was unsure. She really nailed what I was going for and I couldn't be more excited by her work. She has a keen eye, wonderful taste and is just all around really on the ball.

Emily was a dream to work with from start to finish when designing my bathroom. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted, I just knew I wanted something different and that created an impact. Emily took the time to come see the space and discuss with me what I wanted from the bathroom. The design Emily came up with was absolutely stunning, I couldn't believe the creativity that went into it. Despite the relative free rein I gave Emily, she still managed to develop a design that went with my personal taste and sat in well with the rest of my home. Beyond the creative ideas, the tiles and fittings Emily picked out were beautiful and such good quality. Emily even took the time to find a pink concrete sink in Athens for the bathroom! I would definitely recommend Emily and InSpace Design.

We have just completed a renovation of our home, mainly downstairs and involving knocking walls, adding insulation as well as re-thinking our layout and use of our rooms now that our family is at a different stage (2 young adult 'children' who are in college). Emily took the time to understand our needs and our style preferences and that was really important and is one thing that sets her apart from other Interior professionals we have come across. She understood what we liked but came up with some beautiful ideas that we never would! She encouraged us to push out the boundaries and we are absolutely delighted with the results. Her design of the kitchen/living area is light years ahead of what we would have had if we hadn't had her help, the tiling and lighting in particular really stands out. We did a big job on our patio area and it is amazing - we are thrilled with the result. Emily is a pleasure to deal with and also keeps to the budget on items which again is really important - we did go back on some lighting suggestions and ask for less expensive options and she came back quickly with really good alternatives. Happy to recommend her to anyone taking on a project like ours.

When we began our house-build, I knew I wanted something different and vibrant but also homely, fun and cosy. I also knew I needed help to achieve this and Emily provided this all the way through the process. Emily has an inspired understanding of achieving flow in the house while allowing us to be brave and think ‘outside the box’. I could never have imagined I would be living in such a beautiful space and it would not have happened without Emily’s help. Emily has a very special creative vision that brings vibrancy, elegance and energy to any space. You will be guaranteed something completely original, unique and beautiful. From beginning to end, Emily took the time to understand the family’s needs and wants and pulled it together to bring the vision to life. She was always at the end of the phone when I needed her and went above and beyond expectations to help us to design the family home. I would highly recommend Emily to anyone planning a house build or renovation.

Emily is a pleasure to work with. Not only does she have a fantastic eye, she is practical and well-organised. When it came to renovating my house I was overwhelmed with the thought of doing it all myself and really needed guidance from someone who had been there before. I knew Emily could turn it into something really special and bring it all together. In the end I had very little to worry about, Emily handled all of it, from the design, to the tradespeople, to the project management. The result was better than anything I could've dreamed and I love my home. Can't recommend her highly enough!

I cannot recommend In-Space Design enough. I really wanted a space that was welcoming, elegant and not generic and Emily and Cynthia have really delivered. Their whole design process is so thorough and thoughtful and they really take the time to figure out what you like and don’t like. I couldn’t believe how well they got my style and love the designs they have come up with for my kitchen/play area, hall and downstairs toilet. I have three young children and they have managed to create a space that is both really practical but also beautiful, something I would not have thought possible. The furniture they have selected works so well in the space that we have and not pieces I would have thought of selecting myself. Overall a fantastic experience.

Emily at InSpace Design exceeded my expectations in every way. From the start of the process until completion, she was professional and easy to communicate with. She understood my style and needs, and although worked with me collaboratively, pushed the limits with her creative vision and attention to detail to make an opulent, original and completely amazing living room and kitchen come to life. Both rooms look so different, but flow together effortlessly. She arranged for unique customised pieces to be built from local tradesmen, used bold colours and textures, maximised light and space, and taught me a few things about design along the way. Cannot recommend enough.

Working with Emily and her team of tradespeople was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. As I live away from my home, I was particularly concerned that the renovations would be realised on schedule and as I had envisioned. But as project manager Emily was thorough and efficient in her management and co-ordination of every detail from start to finish. I was confused about how to create better flow and use of space in the bathroom but Emily came up with an excellent new layout. This small bathroom now feels bigger and more comfortable to use. I had very specific design ideas and love vibrant interiors and colours, but was apprehensive about how they might work. Emily was immediately in tune with my style. She pulled everything together and crowned it with her final touches which were very much the icing on the cake! Without her critical input the outcome would have lacked the final magic. I cannot be grateful enough for her vision, work and commitment. Another attribute was her patience with me and the busy tradespeople. She was excellent at motivating the team and keeping everyone happy and onside – this is not to be under-estimated!

Could not recommend InSpace Design highly enough. When we began the process of renovating our home, we had some ideas about what we were looking for but also knew that we needed help! And Emily provided that help in abundance – with great professionalism and patience. What we hoped would be a three month max. project actually took much longer (no surprise there!) and Emily was on hand throughout. From design to project management and everything in between, I think it’s fair to say that Emily made the whole process a lot less stressful and has made our home more beautiful that we could have ever imagined.

We are in the middle of getting our house remodelled, including a large extension on the back of the house. We had a very experienced architect help us with the design but before full sign off of the design I asked Emily (In Space Design) if she could assist me with the last phase before we fully commited. Emily was very knowledgeable in all aspects of design including plans review, lighting and general layout. She was key to the lighting layout which will help with the atmosphere in our new home, as well as coming up with some really new, fresh and out of the box thinking for a pantry area and creating a feature bay window seating area that will bring an individuality and new dimension to our kitchen area. I would highly recommend speaking with Emily before starting your project.

With only drawings of our home renovation, we struggled to visualize the space and were daunted by the prospect of choosing all the interior elements. We contacted InSpace without having a very specific brief, but looking for some direction and expert input - on a very small budget. Emily has been great from start to finish. We weren't really sure what we wanted but Emily managed to extract both of our styles and give us some great ideas for interior finishes that really reflect our personalities. Most importantly, Emily helped us to bring a mixture of ides together, to form a coherent overall design. She also gave us some really practical advice about layouts, managing tradesmen and pointed us towards different businesses and websites that we would never have found otherwise where we found some really unique pieces. Emily really gave us the confidence to be brave and bold with our finishes, and without her we probably would have chickened out. We are so glad we didn't, and that we had Emily on board with us all the way. InSpace provide a very professional design service. I'd have no hesitation recommending Emily, especially if you're looking for something a bit different and even with a small budget. Her input really has made all the difference. We will definitely be working with her again.

We engaged Emily in January to help guide us with a renovation of our downstairs kitchen, dining and living space. We didn't want to build an extension as in square foot terms we had ample space for a good size kitchen, living and dining area but the space was somewhat unusually shaped due to a number of small room extensions to the original building structure which resulted in a lack of use of all the space we had. We were also constrained to where the kitchen needed to be located due to plumbing and neighbours etc. Myself and my husband really struggled to come up with a design that made the most use of the space we already had, while also creating lots of hidden storage for a young and growing family and had clean and contemporary feel (I hate clutter!!). Though above all, I wanted the space be a cosy living space for my kids to play in with their toys in and for us to relax as a family in ...... not a short list of demands!! Our first consultation with Emily was great, she listened to both mine and my husbands wish list and came back with some amazing designs. What I loved about Emily's approach was that she distilled down all our ideas (too many to count) and came back with a few options that incorporated as much as she could within the parameters we faced. From the outset Emily was also really realistic about our wish list, what was practical and what wasn't, what we would need to sacrifice for one thing over another and the very importantly was what within and outside our budget (yes we were very na?ve when it came to the budget)!! So after a few more months of saving we were ready to go. Focusing on the kitchen first and getting that design pinned down, then moving onto the living area and a mini study/office area. The results are amazing, I really can't believe that I live in the house I do, people literally gasp when they walk into our living space downstairs, it's like something out of an interior design magazine. Emily came up with some really unique features, specifically the lighting and soft furnishings, wall designs and creating a complementary colour palette for the space. These are all things that I struggled getting right in past endeavours.... this time I left it to the professional and it so paid off, a hundredfold. Also something that was I found to be invaluable was the time saved, both I and my husband work full time (really more than full time - long hours) and we have 2 infants so we just did not have the time to go around shops and websites looking at options and making sure that everything worked well together before buying. We'd still be looking at websites now if we didn't have Emily involved. As we moved through the renovation from kitchen into the living and dining space Emily came back each time with a refined mood board of options that we could pick from, a good range of options but not so many that I was paralysed in deciding what to go for; this is without doubt the most valuable part of the process for me. I know I wanted something different from what's on offer in the high street furniture shops and retail parks but we just don't have the time or inclination to go out and find the unique retailers that do stock the style of interior that we really like. Emily has a treasure trove of these websites and the time (and arguments!! :)) that Emily saved for me and my husband was worth every penny!!! Finally, the cost... we were on a tight budget (I think I already mentioned I had a long wish list :)) and I was apprehensive that paying an interior designer would consume our precious budget and that only really expensive interiors would be presented to us....... how utterly wrong I was. Emily ended up saving us both time and money, she was realistic with our budget from the outset and did not once come back with ludicrous priced options. So in summary 5 out of 5 stars and I've no hesitation recommending Emily, you will get far more than your money's worth.

When we were renovating our new house, I had so many ideas that I was completely overwhelmed. Emily helped us choose things for the house that both spoke to our personalities, but also flowed beautifully together. She also added her own recommendations that were absolutely brilliant! She is such an artist. My partner and I are constantly receiving compliments about our home, all thanks to the incredible work of InSpace. We could not be happier!
