McNally Joinery

On the recommendation of my architect, I hired McNally Joinery to provide some 10 meters of external oak windows and sliding doors as part of a remodelling project in 2003. Within 6 to 7 years, the first leaks started. At that time, the company quoted €1000 for corrective measures, but could not offer any assurance that the problem would be eliminated. Now, virtually every part of the structure leaks, the cills have warped and frames have cracked and discoloured. An oak floor is damaged beyond repair because of water ingress. McNallys have acknowledged that the double glazing units were defective and that the type of oak used is not fit for purpose. However, they are not prepared to make any gesture towards correcting the problem and have quoted €25,000 to entirely refit, the only solution that they are prepared to guarantee against future problems. I have recently received a demand from them for payment for their survey of the problem! I cannot express any confidence in this company and I find their absolute refusal to accept any responsibility extraordinary.

I am elated with my arched wooden doors which McNallys Joinery custom made to fit in our 1930's home during renovations. The entire team were so helpful and professional from start to finish. The impressive doors are my halls first impression and they don't disappoint as every visitor gets the wow factor upon entrance. Thanks to Grace, Declan, Peter and all the team.
