At Focal Designs we provide and ensure a professional approach as well as a high end finish to every project whether big or small. We have experienced trades people with over 18 years’ experience both home and abroad all with city & guilds qualifications. At Focal Designs we also offer handcrafted wall panelling, which substantially enhances the interior of any home, completely transforming the look and character of your living space. Our portfolio speaks for itself. At Focal Designs we skilfully enhance Irish homes through creativity and cutting edge design. Our customers’ vision is important to us and together through project planning we meet our customers’ needs and specifications. Dave designed and built a shelving unit for me with LED lighting and I’m delighted with the work he did. He have me plenty of ideas and everything he did was spot on - his communication was good, he was punctual and tidy and, most importantly, the work was of the highest quality. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dave

Dave did a fantastic job building our gorgeous alcove units in our living room. He was really open and collaborative- checking with us every step of the way that what he was building was in line with what we wanted. The quality and finish are fabulous - cannot recommend him highly enough!

Dave designed and constructed my wall unit and we could not be happier with how it turned out. He also organised an electrician to fit the LED lighting which tops it off. I had an idea as to what I wanted and Dave quickly helped me to decide what would look good and what wouldn't and it was his experience that made the unit turn out the way it is. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dave to family and friends for any of their carpentry needs, like I have already done so. Thanks again, Dave!

Dave designed and fitted a tailored alcove unit in our living room, and we were really impressed by his craftsmanship and attention to detail. He went through all details and discussed every aspect of the job with us. The result is a very elegant and functional unit that suits our needs perfectly. Highly recommended!

I found Dave from Focal Designs very professional and efficient, the work Dave carried out for me I love it. Dave custom made units for me in what was an awkward space to start out with. The units once completed look like they have always been there and belong , exactly what I was looking for , not only creating much needed storage space they add so much character to the room.The attention to detail amazing , I highly recommend Focal Designs.

Our experience with Focal Designs was excellent. They understood exactly what we wanted when designing our handcrafted internal wall paneling, though the hall areas and landings, In addition, they made two Alcove units with spot lights. Focal Designs offered us a bespoke design, that was high quality and cost effective. They were efficient and clean. Very professional tradesmen. We are happy to recommend Dave and Focal Designs .

Dave did a number of jobs for us. The work included alcove units, wall beading, wall rails and radiator covers. All of the work was to the highest of standards and we are delighted with it. Dave was great to deal with. He responded promptly to any queries and he was generous with his time when we were planning the work. Overall we're very thankful that Dave was available and highly recommend him.

Dave is an excellent carpenter. He fitted units in my sitting room & dining room which transformed the place. I was so pleased with his craftsmanship I got him back to fit panelling on the walls in my hallway stairs & landing. My house is transformed & admired by all.

I contacted Dave for some units and floating shelving for either side of our fireplace, and couldn't be happier with the work he did. He walked through what I wanted, and went over all of the options I had very clearly. He went over everything before and during the build, and if there were any potential problems he explained them well and the solutions that were available. The completed work speaks for itself, the finish is really top quality, Dave works methodically and has great attention for detail. I wouldn't hesitate in asking him to do more work in our house. Can't recommend him highly enough.
