Paul and his team are very knowledgeable and very professional. My original 1926 Batchelder fireplace was in the best of hands, as he replaced the firebox and lined the chimney, repairing ages old cracks and restoring it to safe use. Paul really cares about your home and your fireplace and I would not hesitate to refer anyone to him. Money well spent. And my living room was perfectly clean after a day filled with debris and dust was over. Bravo!

Paul Walker completely updated our living room by his fireplace renovation. We had a dreadful concrete faux stone fireplace from the mid-70's. Paul Walker completely removed this face and helped us design a new natural stone facing. He came to our home for the initial consultation and the entire job was completed in two days! He was very careful with dust and debris separating the work area from everything else in our living room with a combination of rugs to protect the floor and plastic barrier to protect the rest of the room as a whole. At the end, we love the finished product and his attention to every detail in the process. If we knew how quickly and how economically our fireplace renovation could have been done, we would have tackled this project years ago!

Paul did a great job on re-doing the inside of our existing fireplace and re-routing the gas line. We highly recommend his work! We are loving our warm fires this winter. Many thanks!

We have a built in Bar-B-Q in our kitchen. I noticed a crack in the material above the grill on the inside of the unit and had no idea what to do. I made a few calls and was referred to Paul Walker at Custom Masonry & fireplace Design. He came out to the house and clearly understood the problem. The "fix" was to remove the cracked piece (that was put in when this was built) and replace it with the proper masonry material. We agreed on a price and he was able to do this in a matter of days after first coming out to see the problem. Obviously he is well versed in problems like this and the repair was done with care and without any real mess in our kitchen. He had a very good attitude, was very professional, and I would definitely recommend him for similar problems.

We recently bought a new home which has an original Batchelder fireplace that needed some work. I reached out to a couple of fireplace companies and received two estimates. Paul was not only friendly but very concise in detailing what he thought we needed done to rectify our fireplace to get it in working condition.
