Michael Taylor Interiors offers design services from concept to completion. Something as simple as picking a paint color for a room, or helping you to achieve a new look by redesigning one room or your entire house! Renovating a house, to building your dream home... Michael is a Certified Home Stager since 2001. If you are trying to sell your home, it should not list it without having it Professionally Staged. Don't trust your realtor on this, hire a professional. A simple consultation and you do the work or my team can come in and do the work for you. Staging is a proven marketing technique to prepare your home for selling to appeal to the masses and possibly bring you more money than you are asking! Many of my staged homes are purchased by the first person who comes to see them.
Michael is a 4 yr past president of the Interior Design Society of Memphis and member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals.

We hired Michael Taylor Interiors for design input for remodeling our house prior to selling. Specifically he designed a complete master bath remodel and specific changes to properly stage the home. Included paint, flooring, furniture and other décor items. Michael went through the house room by room and provided direction on how to spend our remodeling dollars. Additionally, he met with us multiple times at various suppliers to make purchase decisions. Michael is very conscious of adhering to the style of the customer and not pushing in an unwanted direction. In our case, providing input as to latest trends and what will help our home to sell. He also provided good contact information for subcontractors and material suppliers and stayed involved in making sure we were satisfied with their work and products. He is very easy to work with. Anytime we had a question he would respond quickly by phone, text or email. We would definitely hire Michael Taylor for our next project if we weren't leaving the area! Highly recommend him to others looking for an interior designer.

I hired Michael Taylor Interiors to help me redo my living room. I couldn't be happier. Mike asked me about what I wanted to keep, my budget, my likes / dislikes, and how I wanted to work with him. I chose to accompany him to the stores to look around (rather than him going to stores and taking pictures).. At each place he took me, I found wonderful, non-pushy, and very helpful staff. Mike's help in choosing fabrics was invaluable. I would still be there looking if it weren't for him. He has a great eye for colors, fabrics, etc. He found me a great side table in an estate sale! Additionally, he rearranged my art work to complement the new furniture.
I also hired Mike to recover my dining room chairs. They look completely new and again, his eye for colors, patterns, and fabrics was incredible.
He is honest, fair, very talented, and easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Michael Taylor Interiors again and have already recommended him to several friends.

Michael was so easy to work with! He understood that I was having analysis paralysis and help me towards great decisions on paint colors, wallpaper, fabrics and decor. He also very patient with some slow decision making! I love the result and I am happy every day in my home.

Michael was absolutely wonderful to work with. He helped us decorate a house we had just moved into in Collierville. On our first meeting, he promised to do as much as as little as we wanted. No high pressure to change something or buy something new, he really just wanted us to love our space. Michael helped us pick interior paint colors, helped us get an excellent painter to do the job, went shopping with us to coordinate some new furniture we wanted, and helped us put it all together with stuff we already had. He helped us decorate every room in our house by helping us find some new stuff but also using a lot of stuff we had. Some rooms just needed a little paint and something on the walls while other were total re-dos, and he was great with both. He was excellent at staying on budget and keeping us to our deadline! I highly recommend him to anyone that wants to change up their interior whether a little or a lot, Michael is fantastic!

Michael was wonderful! He came into a bit of a decorating mess, and helped get things in order. I was worried about hiring an Interior Decorator, because I thought they would cost too much, and would want to spend more on buying. I appreciated that: 1. He used what I already had and made everything look more put together and less cluttered 2. He made sure that the two hour initial meeting was well used and didn't waste a second. 3. While he let me know he could help purchase things if I was interested, he did not push, and again, he just improved upon what I already had. This is the best my house has ever felt. . .more open, more organized, more peaceful. I am no longer afraid of hiring an Interior Decorator, as long as, Michael is by my side.

Michael is cordial, skilled, and concerned as much with my tastes as he is with his recommendations. He understands sentimental pieces and heirlooms and works to incorporate them into his design. He saved us by suggesting paint colors for our kitchen which had very difficult tile to match. Michael is patient (we have been working on this house for almost a year now), honest, and has a good eye for the big picture. We are still using him and I would definitely use him again on other projects.

My husband and I moved into a home that we remodeled shortly after we were married. We met with several decorators, but none seemed to fit our ideas or type of style. Then we discovered Michael Taylor Interiors. Michael really listened and took careful consideration of our likes and dislikes. He helped us arrange our existing furniture and select new pieces as well. Michael created a wonderful design and really optimized our space. He found items that were wonderfully priced and even helped create a custom-design linen cabinet for our bathroom. I would definitely recommend Michael Taylor. He is incredibly talented and went above and beyond our expectations.

Michael's talents are on display in our new showroom. He took a blank vignette and added warmth and life to it with his selections of accessories and art. This was all done on a time sensitive deadline, as we wanted to have things staged before our grand opening. Michael made that happen! And we've gotten nothing but compliments about his work here for us. He is a pleasure to work with and we are very happy to be able to let others see his work in our showroom.

Michael Taylor volunteered his time (4 hours!) at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis's ReStore to help us create showroom displays by using all donated furniture and houseware items.
Michael Taylor was amazing to have in our store and a joy to be around. He arrived early, hit the ground running with only a little instruction of how we wanted our store to look, and stayed later than he was scheduled to leave! Michael did not waste any time and got straight to the details. He took a quick visual note of the areas that needed attention and set off to work his magic :) By the time he finished volunteering, we noticed that many of the stories that he had created using our donated furniture and houseware items had already been sold.
Our store has been open for nearly 3 years and has never looked this good! Because our non-profit heavily depends on volunteers to help run our store, Michael was a breath of fresh air and something altogether unexpected as a source that could help us better imagine a visually captivating "thrift" store.
We highly recommend Micheal Taylor Interiors for taking the time to make our store beautiful!
