We were so lucky to find Lisa. She was very easy to work with and provided a high quality experience. She is adept at balancing design and functionality, giving practical advice every step of the way. Our basement looks beautiful and has turned into an enjoyable living area. Lisa provided excellent interior design guidance for decorating our new home. She spent the upfront time to understand our aesthetic and budget before providing numerous options for us to choose from. The process was easy and seamless with her coordinating directly with vendors. She was fun to work with, creative and responsive. I highly recommend her services.

I highly recommend LJL Design. Lisa has a great eye for detail and style. She can quickly assess what works (and what doesn't!). She has great taste, and she's so easy to work with. While my needs may have not been the largest job for LJL Design, Lisa was by my side picking out new carpeting and flooring for four rooms. We also had new slipcovers made for two sofas and a love seat -- without Lisa I would have been lost picking out fabric. She was mindful of staying within my budget and working with my existing decor. She stayed on top of vendors and was highly communicative. I would highly recommend LJL Design for any decorating or design job. Lisa is an a-one professional and a pleasure to work with. Don't go it alone!

Lisa was my right-hand during a large home addition and renovation in 2012 that included a brand new kitchen, breakfast room, mudroom, powder room, family room, and laundry room. Her attention to detail is incredible and she was invaluable at helping me review the details of the plans and very often made suggestions that significantly improved the outcome. The design is so beautiful - I feel so lucky every time I walk into my house. She works well with architects and all of her referrals for upholstery, furniture making etc. did a great job. Now I'm working on a Master Bedroom Suite renovation and Lisa was the first person I called. She's incredible again!! Lisa listens to you. She's smart. She pays incredible attention to detail. A great sense of space and design. She works hard to find things to make you happy and is very creative with the budget (we got some tables from Lillian August Outlet right next to custom couches and saved a bundle). She's a joy to work with.

We moved to Our New York apartment a few years ago. Unsure of how to begin making the apartment our own, we turned to Lisa for guidance with paint, carpeting, and furniture changes. Lisa has a wonderful eye, a down to earth personality, and relationships with contractors and retailers that made the process so positive. She listened well when we shared our likes and dislikes, provided choices that matched our taste and budget, and steered us well when we were unsure. She is well organized and works very hard to keep everyone on schedule. We loved the bones of our apartment when we moved in, but now we feel that we really are home. Lisa made that happen.

I have worked with LJL Design on projects in Millbrook, New York and In NYC. Lisa LIchtenberger is really the best. We could not be happier with the work she has done for us on our homes. One home is a country house with a more traditional style and the other a city apartment that we were converting from a formal traditional style to contemporary / transitional. Lisa works so well with her clients and gave us a realistic assessment of time and cost. We are currently working with her to complete our project in NYC and are happy to serve as a reference.

Lisa Lichtenberger of LJL Design has done the complete design work on from start to finish on three homes for me -- in Scarsdale, NY, Briarcliff Manor, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL -- over a fifteen year period. Lisa's combination design vision/ eye, engineering exactitude (she is in fact an engineer as well as a designer), and her relentless drive to find the look you want at the lowest cost is what sets her apart. Lisa knows where to punch in the "wow-factor” custom item yet also knows when to defer to a high end vendor over a custom item to keep within a budget when the perfect item already exists. Lisa is about your result not herself. Lisa has done a stupendous job designing a second home for me in Florida - off floor plans, a video tour on my iPad, and excellent tight communication. I can only recommend LJL Design in the highest terms.

I've worked with this designer for the last 15 years on two different residences. She did complete renovations of the kitchen and bathroom in both residences and interior design throughout. This included interior architecture and decorating. Lisa is the ultimate professional, clearly on top of the jobs and contractors. I would not make a move in my apartment without her advice. I strongly recommend Lisa to my friends and colleagues for any work they may need in their residences.

I would highly recommend LJL Design for any home design project. Lisa is a pleasure to work with. She is professional, approachable, and her attention to details is amazing.
