Dunleavy Bespoke

It took more than three years, two building contractors & the 'patience of Job' to get our house built, but the silver lining was plenty of time to research materials & source beautiful items to finish our home. For us, one of our greatest finds was Dunleavy Bespoke. This creative & professional family business created a dining room table & two benches that we believe are not just functional but also pieces of art. We were drawn to the arcs & angles, the symmetry & perfect proportions of this set. At Christmas there were 12 of us sitting at the table, each with lots of elbow room! This table is a real focal point in our kitchen/dining room & is the spot where our family & friends can sit comfortably for hours. I only wish that I could have taken better photos, to capture its true uniqueness & beauty.

February 2016. When building my new house, I looked at various kitchens but ruled out “Islands” which seem to be the current fashion. I wanted a really good but modern table that would make the room less “kitchen” and more social and practical. The Dunleavy table is really well build, solid and a great design with a slight Irish emphasis. It can be used for dining, casual eating, reading the paper or working. The whole experience from commissioning and taking delivery was a pleasure. Tim called to he house several times to give me information when I was unsure as to the size or deciding on the actual wood. I was also able to visit the workshop to see the table being constructed.
