Wine Cellar Addition in Potomac, MD

Low voltage lighting was used throughout to control the quantity as well as the quality of light. The room’s sole door is glazed with insulated low-E glass to prevent extra light from harming the wines. The cellar features four Carderock stone columns supporting the double-barrel-vaulted Venetian plaster ceiling. The stone provides visual continuity with the graceful entry area, and blends with the hardy Vermont-slate floor. Three hand-built walnut wine storage units surround the seating area. © Bob Narod Photography and BOWA
