White & Brick Orangery in London
When we took the brief, we knew that an elegant design was required in order to complement this 1930s home’s classic character.
The house is in a conservation area and such features as its original bricks would need to be matched to retain the integrity of its original design.
The airy Mediterranean-style décor of the home and the intended use of the extension as an informal dining room and lounge suggested the approach we should take.
The result? A graceful white timber frame orangery with a light and sunny atmosphere. The detail of the leaded storm-proof windows honoured the era in which the house was originally built.
