West Residece

Located within “Fletchers Village,” a little-known and very private enclave of homes of historic character nestled along a ravine in North Seattle, this Tudor-influenced design both distinguishes the individual character of the home, and fits firmly within the design context of the village, which was of prime importance to the owners, who have lived there for decades. The home is carefully sited to fit the tight building site along the ravine, while maximizing light penetration for bright and sunny interiors. The exterior material selections reflected the objective for low-maintenance, with brick and stone siding, stucco, and darkly stained cedar trim. The interior spaces provided for the future accessibility requirements of the elderly clients, accommodating wheelchair access to all spaces.
