Walk in wine cellar for a small space

A small walk in wine cellar was a surprise to clients in northern NJ who were renovating their basement to become a lower lever entertainment area. This unused space under the stairs became home to 200 bottles of wine. Small wine refrigerators were added to the lower area on the left under the stairs. Hand painted murals were a gift to the clients and were inset into the back wall to become the impetus to create an old cave look. Mosaic tiles and cherry stacking wine units were added to the walls. A hand forged round top iron gate was painted to look old. Modern lighting and a small counterop allowed the collector to efficiently log in some special wine choices. Flooring was done with brick tiles in a herringbone pattern which added to the old, cavelike look desired by the clients.
