Step up to a platform tub.
This jetted bathtub was actually ten years old when the remodel was done. We removed the tub, did the remodel, and put the tub back in place. The home owners use the tub everyday for therapeutic reasons and saw no reason to replace it. Because it rests on the tile it can be replaced later if necessary. The plumbing underneath is accessed easily.
