Rustic Contemporary Bedroom
MASCULINE, COZY RETREAT: This 17-year-old with 4 brothers wanted a room that was totally 'him' and a place he could escape to. When I asked him what he wanted his room to feel like, he said “the outdoors, a little rustic and kind of contemporary."
So we did a faux-wood wall to give it that lodge feel but mixed in soft linen panels and bedding, then added elements of color and texture with the chairs and rug. Ansel Adams photography was the final touch to complete the space and bring even more of the outside in. The result was a masculine, cozy, unexpected retreat.
