Poolside Perfection in North Norfolk
This wonderful property along the North Norfolk coastline is a hidden gem – and with the help of six Executive Power Screens, our customers have perfected outdoor living. Let’s explain how.
An inviting swimming pool takes centre stage in a large patioed outdoor space. Either side of the pool is an outdoor kitchen/bar and a dining area – both of which look out over a wonderful garden, stretching out to a river.
The homeowners wanted to stop insects from entering their poolside bar and dining areas and required a solution that wouldn’t compromise on architectural design. Knowing we’re the experts in insect screens, they got in touch.
Six Power Screens were installed – four around the dining area, and two cloaking the kitchen/bar.
The chosen mesh for this project was 2360 charcoal, which provides insect protection and additional privacy (90% UV block, 10% open). The screens were fitted in head boxes externally to the poolside bar and internally to the dining area, all controllable by Somfy remote controls.
Power Screens were the perfect solution for this project. Our customers were particularly impressed with how the clean, slick lines of the screens made them discreet but feel like they were always part of the design.
This modern outdoor living space has now been upgraded, allowing the homeowners to get the best from their garden. Importantly, when deployed, the screens transform the poolside bar and dining area from an open outdoor feature, to a cosy ‘indoor’ space – at the touch of a button.
Our customers found that combining our screens with heaters helped to keep the heat in during the winter – they even spent New Year’s Eve sat out in perfect comfort!
