‘Play it again Sam’
Amazingly this kitchen renovation was kept the same as it was when it was designed and built 26 years ago. The original client sold the house and bought it back years later and wanted the kitchen updated. She approached the original designer, Friedemann and asked for the same kitchen layout but with new appliances and finishes. Friedemann agreed but really did not want to do the same design again.
However, as much as he tried, he could not come up with a better layout and the same kitchen design was created again, this time using more updated finishes.
The classic white cabinets and black granite counters are complimented by the stainless steel accents in the hardware and appliances. The decorating of the room continues with this theme of white and silver with the backsplash tiles and window treatments.
The adjacent family room retains its own unique character by using an alternative cabinet colour and finish, and adding some punchy red chairs for the lounge area.
