Although this TV is mounted much to high for everyday use, the relaxed seating and recliner make it perfect for casual use. Directly across but not shown in the image is and office and TV viewing is at the perfect height. The luxury's in this space are the pillars of stationary draperies that frame the windows, and the massive cast stone fireplace mantel, hearth.
The stone blocks mounted on the wall above the fireplace mantel is beautifully steeped in allusion. There's a 1/4" mixed medium with limestone that covers each block that is made out of EIFS material (simplified terms a synthetic material). It's light weight and much more affordable that stone or cast stone. A glaze was added to color match it to the fireplace.
Earth tones were used throughout this living room.
