Park Road Home Studio
For this home studio situated on the ground floor of a converted Georgian hotel in the centre of Tarporley, it was important to compliment the character of the building with the interior design. Farrow and Ball's rich 'Brinjal' wall colour was paired with their 'Strong White' for the woodwork to draw attention to the fabulously restored coving and skirting and to add some punch, a vibrant wallpaper was applied to some areas. The all-important desk and shelving was made with beautiful handcrafted oak, stained to compliment the walls and extra storage was created by blocking in under the stairs and fireplace with bespoke joinery. Loose furniture items were all antiques or vintage pieces sourced within the UK and lighting from some of our favourite high street brands. It was important to blend old and new, being sympathetic to period features but introducing a modern feel to the space.
