Open Kitchen - curverd ceiling element
In addition to developing an open space without a visual barrier, our client was interested in creating secondary spaces with unique qualities. We achieved that by introducing the cloud ceiling, special lighting and use of materials.
The cloud ceiling spans across the living and dining spaces incorporating unique lighting fixtures to each space, pendant at dining and adjustable pivot recessed lighting at living space.
2”x8” back painted glass tiles was used as backsplash for the kitchen wall and 2”x2” mosaic glass tiles were used to clad the building chase wall next to kitchen counter, creating an active surface responding to morning sun light by changing color and reflecting light to the surrounding walls.
