Oak Mansard Garden Room, Somerset
This oak garden room project in Somerset is all about letting in natural light and has transformed what was previously an almost unused patio area outside this property.
The choice of natural oak – as opposed to our painted timber product – perfectly complements the surrounding environment whilst the full height windows and doors bring the garden closer to the indoors.
A pair of French Doors open out onto the re-modelled patio area and the garden itself, with some mature trees now creating a pleasant vista.
From an exterior perspective, the mansard roof design gives this garden room a distinctive but traditional look and feel. The solid tiled roof is a particular feature of a garden room style extension and, indeed, distinguishes it from an orangery or a conservatory. A central roof lantern lets in further natural light throughout the door, whilst twin roof vents can be opened for additional ventilation.
