Nirwana Residence
This is the main living area which looks out over the pool and garden beyond. The sofa which was also custom made measures 5.8 meters long, enough comfortable seating for 12 people, it is covered in Sunbrella fabric which is an outdoor fabric. The covers come off and can go into the washing machine and the fabric is sun-resistant which was essential as the morning sun floods this room. The coffee and console tables are made out of teak wood which have been oiled to keep the natural color, the lamps in the distance are also pieces designed by Ross J M Peat for this space. The 3 panels on the wall to the left are antique hand carved wooded decorative pieces from original Javanese houses called Joglo's, they have been mounted in nice frames and hung together to form this beautiful piece. The glass pieces are from an Japanese glass artist, Sake, the house has several of his pieces.
