John and Elinor McGuire were breakthrough innovators on many levels. They were imaginative and uncompromising, mixing incredible materials, forms, textures and ideas to create furniture and environments that were chic and ahead of their time. Quality and integrity were the watchwords of McGuire in 1948, as they remain today. McGuire Furniture continues to be distinct, recognizable and iconic. Early McGuire designs reside in the permanent collection at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York and are loved and admired throughout residences and public spaces around the world.
