Mt Davidson Manor
Lots are not large in San Francisco. Houses are very close together in almost every neighborhood of the city. In this case, the house next door was about 15 feet away. However, it wasn't a privacy issue. The developer did a good job of staggering windows between the adjacent properties so neither neighbor was bothered by the other. This neighborhood gest the occassional fog bank so the last thing we wanted to do was cut off any light. Everything in the room above counter level was placed on any wall but the window wall. This arrangement not only let in the light, it actually made the room seem much larger than it actually was given the uncluttered wall of glass.
