Light and Airy Transitional
To have a soothing retreat and functional workspace were the homeowners’ wishes for this transitional study. Reflecting the homeowners’ tastes and personalities, the color palette started with the soft silver gray grasscloth wall covering, which unified the custom stained, slightly gray-washed walnut floors, oak beams, and millwork with the furnishings in the space. The designers were involved in the architectural planning and design, lighting design, space planning, finish and fabric selections. The furniture is a blend of custom designed pieces, such as the shearling-covered ottoman, and items purchased, such as the gray leather tub chairs. A gray sisal patterned rug completes the seating area and adds a beautiful texture to the room. Finally, a large charcoal sketch of the Grand Teton, antique books, as well as a collection of accessories, were used to complete this space.
