Lake house landscaping
This plain hillside was freshened up by adding a flower/mulch bed with a nice center piece made from an old canoe. A retaining wall is sometimes necessary especially when on a slope. This is not a load bearing retaining wall. Notice in the upper left area there has been a white-washed wooden picket fence added to create a contained area for pets.
