During a design meeting with a client (on another project) the homeowner told us she wanted a kichen that was more like "a familly room you could cook in". This kitchen was designed around that concept, with a large center island with seating for 4/5 people, an eat-in nook for an informal dining room table or comfortable seating (shown), and wiring for a flat-screen TV. Not shown are french doors that are centered on the island and lead to a private deck.
