SV Design
The challenge: take a run-of-the mill colonial-style house and turn it into a vibrant, Cape Cod beach home. The creative and resourceful crew at SV Design rose to the occasion and rethought the box. Given a coveted location and cherished ocean view on a challenging lot, SV’s architects looked for the best bang for the buck to expand where possible and open up the home inside and out. Windows were added to take advantage of views and outdoor spaces—also maximizing water-views were added in key locations.
The result: a home that causes the neighbors to stop the new owners and express their appreciation for making such a stunning improvement. A home to accommodate everyone and many years of enjoyment to come.

Cape Cod home with Cape Cod gray shingles, white trim and a 2 car garage under a 2 floor partial covered deck. This home has a Gambrel roof line with asphalt shingle, and 2 dormers. The driveway is made pavers and lined with a 6 ft pine fence. The granite stairway leading up to the front Mahogany door has 2 aged bronze railings attached to 2 fiberglass colonial columns that hold up the front deck entry porch roof with Hydrangeas on either side of the railings.

Brett Marlo Design Build
Remodel of an existing 1940s home. Main level was 3 bed, 1 bathroom. Now is 4 bedroom, 1 full bathroom, 1 accessible 3/4 bathroom and an upstairs laundry. Basement was unfinished. Now it is home office/media and full bathroom and Accessory Dwelling Unit with a full shared laundry.

Barrier Views features four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a 1-car garage off the first-floor mudroom, and a 2-car garage at the basement level. The first-floor primary suite allows the couple one-floor living, but there's lots of space upstairs for when their grown kids and family members visit. From the front entry, there is a view through the gathering space, which includes living, dining, and kitchen areas, plus a more formal dining area off to the side. The primary suite feels separate from this area because it has a small sitting room in between. Upstairs, three bedrooms connect to the central staircase.

Classic lake home architecture that's open and inviting. Beautiful views up the driveway with all the rooms getting lake views on the southern side (lake).
