Douglas fir pergola.
Our client had looked at pergolas available on line and asked us for something more sturdy and built to last. We designed this pergola to fit the existing space and to integrate with their new patio, incorporating steel base and wall plates for solid fixing.
For the construction they chose Douglas fir, which is naturally resistant to rot and very durable. The timber was planed and sanded, the beams were all notched and the ends shaped by hand in our workshop before the final installation on site.
